Directions:

The airport is connected to the toll Florida Turnpike, Interstates I-95 and I-595, and US Route 1. From State Road 84 or Interstate I-595, turn onto SW 29 Avenue to get to the Airport Economy parking lot, or follow US Route 1 south to the Airport Bypass (Perimeter Road) to get to the Economy parking lot to get.

Transfer between the terminals:

The terminals are close together and can be reached in a few minutes on foot. A shuttle bus connecting the terminals departs from level 1 of the multi-storey car park.

Public transport – street:

Bus: Broward County Transit buses (BCT) (Tel: (954) 357 84 00 or TTY: (954) 357 83 02. Internet:  http://broward.org/bct/) depart every 20-40 minutes from bus stops at the western end of Terminal 1, between Terminals 2 and 3 and between Terminals 3 and 4 (journey time to the city center: approx. 20 minutes, travel costs: US $ 2.25). Many hotels offer shuttle services.

Taxi: Taxis and yellow cabs (Tel: (954) 777 77 77) (journey time to the city center: approx. 20 minutes, travel costs: US $ 15-25) and wheelchair-accessible minibuses are available at the transportation podium on the lower level at all terminals Available. Go Airport Shuttle (Tel: (954) 561 88 88) offer door-to-door service.

Public transport – train:

Shuttle + train: Tri Rail shuttles connect the airport with Fort Lauderdale / Hollywood International Airport at Dania Beach. From there, tri-rail feeder trains run (Tel: (800) 874 72 45. Internet:  www.tri-rail.com).

Money:

Numerous ATMs are spread across the entire airport. Exchange offices are available in Terminal 2, 3 and 4.

Means of communication:

Telephone cards, travel insurance, stamps can be purchased, mailboxes are also available. Fax machines are available in Terminal 2. Free WiFi internet access is available in all terminals.

Gastronomy:

A large selection of restaurants, bars, cafes and food stalls are available at the airport. There are several cocktail bars in Terminal 2 and 3.

Shopping:

Numerous shops, including newsagents and gift shops, are available in all terminals. Duty-free shops are available in terminals 2, 3 and 4 for international passengers.

Luggage:

Luggage lockers are located in all terminals. Luggage storage (tel: (954) 359 55 05) is available in every terminal. Luggage transport services are available on the upper and lower levels of all terminals and in the parking garage. There is a lost property office (tel: (954) 359 2247).

Each terminal has a business service center  (tel: (954) 359 76 10) with ATMs, fax and photocopying machines, card phones, insurance and postage stamp machines, which are open from 7.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Accessibility facilities:

All terminals have facilities for the disabled. Disabled toilets are located in all public toilets in the ticket halls, at baggage claim and at the gates. The toll-free phones in the baggage claim area are equipped with a TTY function for the hearing impaired. Sound-amplified telephones and TTY text phones for the hearing impaired are located in all terminals. Wheelchair ramps and lifts are available. Levels 1 and 4 at the western end of the parking garage offer wheelchair-accessible transitions to all terminals. A special ticket issuing system makes it easier for disabled car drivers to enter the parking lots. Disabled parking spaces are located next to the stops of the shuttle buses.

Parking spaces:

There are three parking garages (Palm Garage, Hibiscus Garage and Cypress Garage). They offer short and long-term parking spaces. The Airport Economy car park with particularly affordable parking fees is also available. Free shuttle buses run every 15 minutes between the parking garages, the parking lot and all terminals.
