Attractions and sights in Las Vegas

If you think you can’t do more in Las Vegas than try your luck at the poker table, you’re wrong. The glittering metropolis has a lot more in store for you. Numerous attractions and sights make a trip to the city unforgettable. The hotels alone represent impressive sights, both inside and out. A real highlight and a famous tourist attraction is the Las Vegas entrance sign. You are not allowed to fly home without a photo in front of the sign. Another recommendation is the Stratosphere Tower. It goes up over 300 meters. From here you can see all of Las Vegas from above and enjoy a priceless view. The very brave can venture onto the free fall tower above. The adrenaline level rises! If you want to take it easy, take a ride on the high roller. At 167 meters, it is currently the largest Ferris wheel in the world. Another highlight is the Neon Museum. Here are discarded neon signs in a kind of cemetery. For shopping enthusiasts, the various outlets in Las Vegas are a different kind of attraction. There are plenty of bargains here. My conclusion: Las Vegas is full of attractions and sights that won’t leave you bored.

Eating out in Las Vegas

Eating out in Las Vegas

The dining options in Las Vegas are as varied as the selection of casinos. There are restaurants on every corner and in every hotel. The hotel’s own restaurants will also welcome you if you do not have a room in the hotel. In Las Vegas there are many first-class star chefs at work, who will not only give you a treat with delicious, but also with beautifully decorated dishes. If you don’t want to dig deep into your pocket for a snack, you can fall back on fast food shops and diners. But be careful: the American prices at medium or low level cannot be compared with the Austrian ones! The so-called buffets are typical for Las Vegas. The buffets are perfect for those who want to eat a lot, well and comparatively cheaply. You can experience it in the restaurants of the many hotels – morning, noon and evening! The buffets are similar to those in Austria – but they are much larger, lavish and varied. There are no culinary limits and you can try the typical delicacies from many different countries. Burgers, pizza, salad, fish and all other imaginable dishes are presented to you by the restaurants with their buffets.

Hotels in Las Vegas

Hotels in Las Vegas

Las Vegas – that means casinos en masse and imposing hotel buildings along the entire strip. Finding accommodation here is not difficult. But it depends on your budget. In Las Vegas the luxury hotels line up. The Wynn Hotel is one of the non plus ultra hotels. The design of the entire hotel is unique and a real feast for the eyes. The Bellagio is also world famous. This hotel leaves nothing to be desired and scores with a tasteful ambience. You can even find a botanical garden and a lake here! Are you coming to the Venetian below, you are in another world. It is one of the largest hotels in the world and even the standard rooms are absolute highlights and are among the largest on the entire strip. When it comes to Las Vegas hotels, one thing must not be forgotten: the golden nugget. It is located in downtown Las Vegas on famous Fremont Street. The hotel is making history, not least because it was the first hotel that was also designed as a casino. But a hotel in Las Vegas doesn’t always have to be expensive. You can find out which accommodations are also suitable for a smaller budget in my Las Vegas tips article. I have put together a hotel guide for you, in which you can find out everything about the best, most famous and impressive hotels in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Downtown

Las Vegas Downtown

The strip with its impressive hotels and casinos is a highlight on your trip to the glittering metropolis. The other main attraction is without a doubt Downtown Las Vegas. This is where it all started. The first casinos were opened here until the Strip overtook the actual center. The world famous Fremont Street is located in downtown Las Vegas. Some of the city’s most famous casinos and hotels are waiting for you here. You definitely shouldn’t miss the Golden Nugget. The hotel and its casino have been the setting for numerous films. My tip: In the evenings when the sun goes down, head to downtown Las Vegas and Fremont Street. The ambience and the flair of the city are impressive. The Fremont Street Experience is really colorful and sparkling. The light show leaves you speechless and is a highlight that you shouldn’t miss.
